Beith Keim
Lucy and Company opened in 2002. They started as a small paint studio focusing on hand painted residential faux finishes on furniture and walls. Beth and Keith Keim, both artists, wanted to focus on fun, original kid's designs mainly in the form of wall treatments. As their client base grew they expanded to include design work and furnishing, as well as accessories.

They pride themselves on full services design, with the unique twist of in house custom painting and  one-of-a-kind pieces. They believe they have found a niche in kid's rooms as there are not too many designers that focus on kids room bringing in all the resources they have. While they work with all ages,  kids can be the most fun. They are happy to say, business is still thriving and they are doing well.

Scott Whitlock
Scott Whitlock, president and CEO of Hubert Whitlock Builders since 1982, leads the company that has borne his father's name for more than fifty years. Since its founding in 1957, Hubert Whitlock Builders has established a reputation as one of Charlotte's premier custom home builders and remodelers. Scott Whitlock now continues the heritage he first learned from his father Hubert each night around the family supper table.

In high school Scott gained his one of his earliest experiences literally from the ground up—when his father hired him to hand dig a basement for a customer who decided to add one after the house was nearly complete. Upon earning a business degree from East Carolina University, Whitlock worked his way up through the company as bookkeeper, estimator, project manager, and salesman. In his current role Whitlock not only carries on the company's heritage but charts its future by setting goals, monitoring progress, and managing sales.

Another tradition Whitlock continues is his company's involvement in the community and the building industry. He is active in many organizations including the Homebuilders Association of Charlotte, where he is a charter member of its Remodelers Council, and has attained designation as a Certified Graduate Builder and Certified Graduate Remodeler by the National Association of Home Builders, as well as a Mentor designation from the Remodelers Executive Roundtable. He is a member of Carmel Baptist Church.

Whitlock enjoys spending time with his wife, Allison, together with their four children. He also enjoys coaching soccer, hiking, and backpacking.

Aaron Dumford
Aaron Dumford, regional manager for Old River Cabinets, began his love for cabinet & furniture building in 1985 while in the 8th grade where he learned to design and build custom built furniture in Buena Vista, VA. Since then he has enjoyed several different careers that have helped him become well rounded in the cabinet industry. Starting with a 13 year stint with Lowe’s Companies in Store Operations which taught strict operational guidelines, then on to owning his own remodeling business instilled a true connection with the customer and finally coming full circle to his passion and lifelong dream of being deeply rooted in the Custom Cabinet Design and Build industry within his birth place of Charlotte NC.

“There is a certain fulfillment that I get from helping a customer through the project of designing building and installing their own custom made one of a kind Kitchen or Bath Project” – says Aaron. “The art of designing a space to overcome any and every obstacle that a house throws at you is more than just buying box built cabinets and placing them on the wall to fill the space. The true effectiveness of a remodel project is how we take into consideration how the customer is going to use this space, which is different with every customer we encounter. The good thing is, because we build our cabinetry to fit your space and your needs, we can make sure that our customers are no less than 100% satisfied with their finished project”.

When Aaron is not in the showroom or in the field with a client he can be found enjoying his other passion, photography. Traveling all over the southeast trying to capture those ever-elusive shots he has spent many hours behind the lens of his Digital SLR. Since 2001 he and his wife Denise have called Mooresville, NC home. Spending time with Denise and their two Great Dane mixed dogs is his favorite pastime.
